Vintage Faience Plate / 23cm
- UK Courier delivery available on all Vintage Furniture.
This lovely vintage French plate embodies the rustic charm of traditional faïence pottery, decorated with a bold hand-painted motif of flowers arranged in a stylised basket. The rich shades of deep cobalt blue, green and accents of red give it a vibrant, folk-art character typical of mid-century regional workshops across France, including those influenced by Quimper, Sarreguemines and Lunéville traditions.
The gentle wear and authentic patina enhance its nostalgic appeal, making it a particularly attractive piece for collectors or anyone looking to introduce a touch of French country warmth to their home. Crafted from tin-glazed earthenware, the plate showcases the expressive brushwork and individuality that come only from hand-painted ceramics.
