Heritage Craftsmanship

Creamore Mill began in 1981 when John Buckland started woodworking from a modest former washhouse workshop, crafting simple, functional designs from locally sourced timber. Soon outgrowing his original space, the business relocated to its namesake; a historic former corn and wood mill in Shropshire - restoring the site and reviving its long‑standing woodworking legacy.

Over four decades later, the workshop remains a family‑run concern, with John’s wife Cathryn and sons Sam and Oliver contributing to design and production, blending craft traditions with subtle innovation. Although mechanisation supports efficiency, a strong emphasis on handwork remains, ensuring each piece is carefully finished with attention to detail under one roof.

Timeless Craftsmanship & Sustainable Design

Creamore Mill’s design philosophy places equal value on function and longevity. The team works with sustainably sourced oak, beech and redwood from accredited suppliers, shaping each item; from peg rails and poster hangers to kitchen tools and gardening accessories, into objects that feel timeless and purposeful. Every piece is carefully considered for both its practical use and its aesthetic presence in the home, with proportions, finishes and textures chosen to complement everyday life.

By combining traditional woodturning techniques with thoughtful contemporary design, Creamore Mill produces functional pieces for the home that is as beautiful as it is durable. Whether resting on a kitchen counter, hanging in a hallway, or supporting daily chores in the garden, every piece is crafted to last for generations, embodying a philosophy of mindful, sustainable living.
