Vintage French Faience Plate / A
- UK Courier delivery available on all Vintage Furniture.
This charming vintage French plate showcases the warm, rustic character of traditional Faïence pottery, featuring a vibrant hand-painted floral motif in rust, green, yellow and blue tones. Its bold brushwork and decorative scalloped border reflect the craftsmanship of mid-20th-century regional workshops such as those in Quimper, Sarreguemines or Lunéville, where colourful folk-art styles flourished.
The subtle authentic patina add to its nostalgic appeal, making it a delightful decorative piece for collectors and lovers of French country style.
Crafted in tin-glazed earthenware, the plate captures the unmistakable charm of rural French ceramics, where each brushstroke was applied by hand, giving every piece a unique character. Whether displayed on a wall or used as a tabletop accent, it brings a touch of bright, traditional artistry to any space.
