Meet Jo / Domestic Science Team

Welcome back to our weekly segment, introducing you to our wonderful shop team. We have asked them a series of informal questions for you to get to know them better. Who are the faces behind Domestic Science? And to learn about the lovely people who you will be welcomed by, when you visit us.

You will mostly find Jo working in our Nailsworth shop. Let's first chat to Jo about life outside of the DS... 

Q: What's your homestyle? 
A:  That's a hard question - Colourful!

Q:  What are we most likely to find you doing outside of DS? 
A:  Making jewellery, painting vintage stuff, walking my dog!

Q: Where’s your favourite place to go for lunch, dinner or coffee? 
A:  No favourite, but love trying new places and Thai food.

Q: Favourite time of year? 
A:  Definitely the Spring, all hope and joy and the sunshine to look forward to.

Q: If you could live anywhere where would it be? 
A:  Maybe Italy or France, but happy here and a bigger house would be good.

Q: Any Pets? 
A: Inca a pointer.

Q: Jam or cream first on your scone? 
A:  Cream

Q: Favourite brands or products in the shop? 
A: St Eval and Quails ceramics, Izipizis 

Q: Go to playlist in the shop... 
A: Chilled

Q: Contemporary or vintage? 
A:  Vintage

Q: Favourite DS shop? 
A:  Nailsworth

Q: Favourite scent? 
A:  Geranium and Patchouli mixed. But in the shop 'Sevin.

Q: What sort of DS Customer do you enjoy meeting? 
A:  Happy ones, people new to the area and looking for new places to see.

Q: What should people expect to find when visiting DS? 
A:  An eclectic mix of old and mostly new items for the home and personal. Lots of original things and things you didn't know you wanted!
